I love to travel.
I love thinking about it, reading about it, doing it and then reliving it all through photo’s when I come back. I must be one of the only people left who still prints out photo’s, puts them in an album and labels them. They know me well at the camera shop.
And then it’s onto planning the next trip of course. I feel strange if I don’t have a one month holiday booked to look forward to on a yearly basis. I have visited 40 countries and don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
The places I have been to most are England, Canada, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore – which seems to be on the way to everywhere from this side of the globe! I hope that the family and friends that I have met along the way enjoy hearing about my travels too and that it may inspire them to explore the world more.
I try to visit at least one new place per trip as I love going to new places, finding out about new cultures and having new experiences. I have spent a lot of money on travels instead of stuff over the years, but I don’t think you can put a price on experiencing all that life and the world has to offer.
Since I started my blog earlier this year, I am even more obsessed with travel as I write about it weekly. I enjoy looking at old photos to jog memories and writing about trips from my past. It helps me remember what I liked about places and decide where I want to go back to or where I want to go next.
I have found the travel blogging community very supportive. Everyone is genuinely interested in your story, good content and pretty pictures. There is some really good stuff being put out there by my fellow travel bloggers and I always enjoying reading that too.
I believe we live in an international world where the limitations of what you do and who you know are not defined by where you live, but where you choose to travel.
