Easy Kitchen Cleaning Tips

Kitchen Cleaning

Kitchen cleaning may seem like something hard to some people, but it doesn’t really need to be that way. You can do your cleaning fairly easily by preparing for it ahead of time and dealing with the cleaning one step at a time. You need to do this on a regular basis, and then you will have far less problems to deal with in the long run. This article will give you tips you can do your cleaning without making a mess out of things and with relative ease:

  • Kitchen cleaning dishes

One of the most annoying things you can deal with around the kitchen is dishes abandoned for days, filled with hard grease and dried food bits. You can easily soften them up with hot water and some white vinegar in your dishwashing liquid. The acidity of the vinegar will easily cut through the grease, allowing you to have no issues with washing the dishes and keeping things neat and clean.

  • Cleaning of water streaks

If you have been seeing the streaks on glass after you’re done washing them, then this tip will give you a hand in battling them. You can tackle the issue with the simple application of distilled white vinegar and warm water. The buildup will be broken down and it will lose the streaks in no time at all.

  • Cleaning sauce stains

Strong sauces containing substances capable of coloring, such as peppers, tomatoes and other vegetables can be pretty stubborn with some containers, staining them in almost permanent ways. You can however keep them clean by applying vegetable oil to the inside of the containers themselves before you pour things in. You can also try to clean them thoroughly, but the stains will return if you don’t use a different type of container other than plastic.

  • Cleaning wood

Wood is porous and therefore more vulnerable to mold, especially if you have any present in the kitchen where you have a lot of moisture all the time. Sauces and splatters can end up hardening on top of it, sometimes even soaking into it and coloring everything if it wasn’t sealed well enough. You can use baking soda and water to deal with the issue somewhat, but you would do well to treat the spots as soon as you can. Rubbing it into the surface will help keep the bad odors away, as long as you refresh the sealing of the wood when you’re done if you need to.

  • Cleaning ceramics

Ceramic tiles can still suffer from mold effects around the kitchen and especially if they are facing increased moisture. Splatter sand sauces can also harden on them, so they will need to be cleaned often enough. You can solve the problem by using rubbing alcohol on the spots, breaking them down and sanitizing them as you go.

  • Cleaning kitchen utensils

Anything you have around your kitchen during cooking efforts will very easily absorb smells and sauce colors, so you will need to remedy that. Use a solution of bleach and warm water in a 1 to 4 ratio, rinse them and apply a coat of oil to keep the material from absorbing them.
