I have the honour of bringing you our 30th round-up of blogger outreach related posts of the week! One of the hot topics of the week is whether companies should pay bloggers. And if so, in what circumstances?
- Top of the list is Scott Hepburn, a PR consultant and social media strategist. He asks the tough questions and (even better) provides the answers to “When should brands pay bloggers?“. Hint: the answers are absolutely, absolutely not and it depends. For the 10 scenarios, we invite you to check out the whole post.
- Killian Schaffer from Mashable says blogger outreach isn’t enough anymore and that companies must do more in order to benefit from “Value TRInity” (Transactional, Relationship, Influence).
- Chris Lee from Planet Content UK tells us Reality Bites! But besides that he helps companies get past that fact and teaches them how to properly contact bloggers (and as importantly, how to find the right ones).
Please enjoy this week’s selections and feel free to interact with the authors of the above posts (especially if you’re a brand – dare to make an actual connection)!
