The Universal Serial Bus as it is technically referred to, better known as USB first started its journey in 1994 by the fundamental idea of modifying and making the process of connecting a peripheral device to the computer easier. It is the very entity which has brought the radical change in connecting the peripheral devices to the host and as well as the power supply between computers and devices. The fundamental initiation of the USB was based upon the effort made to standardize the connection between the computers and its peripheral devices starting from the keyboard, and disk drives up to the network adaptors.
There are different formats present for the different kinds of devices which act as a host. Within these forms of USB, the three basics formats are there: the first or the standard one is the format used mostly in the desktop host devices. The second one is a mini format of it which is mainly intended to be used in the mobile devices, and last of these three general types is the format of a thinner micro size which is for the lowest profile mobile equipment. Two different modes
The USB type C also has two different modes as unique as its design. The modes are namely ‘Audio Adapter Accessory Mode which includes the USB-C plug supporting the analog headsets providing analog audio signals. The second type is the ‘Alternate Mode’ where alternate data protocol is transmitted among the host and the peripheral device dedicating some physical wires.
