Bloggers Are Excellent for Marketing

There are a multitude of ways to market a new product:

  • Advertising: This is going to be one of the most tried-and-true methods because it’s always going to work. No matter the audience’s size or demographics, there will always be someone who wants to buy your product. The only drawback is actually finding where your customer is located so you can pitch to them.
  • Give-a-ways: This is always going to be a great way to launch a product because it gives customers a small sample of what they can expect. The only drawback here may be that you end up giving away more product than you actually sell.  Give-a-ways have worked well for small and large companies, especially if the product is something that consumers want and can add value.
  • Referrals: Word-of-mouth advertising is a very effective way to market a new product because people tend to share their opinions about the product. If they like it, they tell their friends, and if they don’t like it, they still tell their friends. While it’s a very effective tool, there’s no way to really manage this method.

But one of the most effective but underutilized methods to launch a new product is through the use of a blogger. Yes, a blogger!

Bloggers have influence over their audiences because they often have a direct connection with them. Their readers tend to listen to what the blogger says, even if they sometimes don’t agree with the blogger.

Why is that?

Because usually, bloggers are more passionate about their subject and will share information that they have acquired first hand. Their passion leads them to do things like:

  1. Research
  2. Ask questions
  3. Interview people
  4. Compare things

All bloggers, including those who blog for compensation and those who blog as a hobby, tend to do these 4 things which come from having a passion about their topics. Therefore, readers (consumers) get unbiased, unfiltered information about the product or service they’re about to purchase.
