Hello everyone and welcome to our 77th week of blogger outreach roundup articles. We had this idea in mind that when trying to approach bloggers and promote your content it’s often like embarking in an adventurous journey without knowing what unexpected situations you’ll face or what will be waiting for you at the end of the road.

This is why we designed this week’s roundup as a very simple map on how to approach bloggers and earn media. Each article is signaling one important milestone you have to cross in order to gain satisfactory results for all the parties involved in the whole process. So, let’s get started!

  1. First of all you have to know that approaching bloggers it’s the right thing to do for reaching your goals. You’ll decide that more easily after knowing the most important advantages of using blogs for promoting your content, highlighted in Maura Mitchell’s article: Blogs Are More Powerful than Social Media.
  2. The second aspect you have to master is to know exactly what to do for achieving your business objectives in a fast pace. A very concise, yet very helpful article on the right practices when pitching to bloggers is Joanne Fritz’s writing: Successfully Pitch a Blogger in 5 Steps.
  3. Equally important is to know what you shouldn’t do and in that matter Tim Bosch’s article, 5 Pitfalls to Avoid When Pitching Bloggers, will prove to be a very interesting and useful reading.
  4. Finally, no matter how experienced you are, there is always place for improvement. Refine your blogger outreach skills by reading Jeff Widmer’s playful article:  Knucklehead or knuckleball? 3 tips on perfecting the PR pitch.
