Hello and welcome to the 6th week of weekly round-ups. As we were searching the web for some interesting blogger outreach related articles, we found quite a few useful tips for you to learn and use in your blogger approaching methods.
It’s been interesting to see what the blogosphere had to share with us this week. We found the traditional do’s and don’ts when you’re approaching bloggers. But then we also found an interesting and efficient method of approaching bloggers and building up their interest for your brand/product.
Without further ado, we give you this week’s posts:
- Kim Moldofsky the managing editor of TheChicagoMoms.com shares with us on her blog the experience of being approached with an “outrageous pitch” as she calls it in the article Blogger Outreach: I thought I had seen it all until I got this email .
- Next in our round-up for this week is an article from The Media Coaches named PR 365…How Not to Pitch a Blogger. They share with us 5 useful tips when you’re pitching bloggers and as they say “use it wisely and you may not wind up in a recycle bin”.
- We also chose Kristi Hines’s article entitled Successful Blogger Outreach – What to Do and What to Avoid. She encourages us to research and interact with bloggers before reaching out, also to personalize the pitch you’re using and recommends to avoid mass emails and off topic pitches.
- The last and most original way of reaching out to influential bloggers we’ve found it on Hal Thomas’s blog. The article named This is How You Do Blogger Outreach reveals how the Ford Motor Company managed its blogger outreach program in an original way.
That’s it for this week. We hope you had as much fun reading the articles as we had rounding them up.
